Pre K - Elementary

All Youth from Pre-Kindergarten through Elementary meet for "At Church" Sunday School Sessions on the first Sunday of each month.  "At Home" materials are provided for all of the other Sundays.  The Youth are invited and encouraged to attend Holy Eucharist on the Sundays when there is no "At Church" session.

The youth serve as Layministers on the last Sunday of each month for the Layministry/Family Service Sunday.

A staffed Nursery is available each Sunday for very young children.

Dear Parents,

With only a very brief and often sporadic time with youth on Sunday mornings we are reminded that Christian formation is something that mostly takes place between parents and their children in the home.

This is why our new year of Christian education efforts called God's People at Church and at Home focuses mostly on supporting parents who are always the first teachers of their children when it comes to sharing the Christian faith.

The 2010-2011 Christian Formation Team for Youth will hold age appropriate sessions on the first Sunday of every month and provide parents with ample age-appropriate resources for the remainder of the month so that Christian formation can easily be scheduled around your family schedule  at Home.

With only about thirty minutes on Sunday once each month to offer Christian Education opportunities to our parish youth we will be providing you, the parents, with  at Home resources in the hope that you or a grandparent or older sibling will take an additional thirty minutes each week between at Church  sessions to encourage your child to discover more about God’s love and our Christian faith.

We are hopeful that you will make a commitment with us to provide regular encouragement for our youth to

·         participate in  church school on the first Sunday of every month

·         make new discoveries about their faith by utilizing their age-appropriate curriculum and at Home resources all through the month,

·         to pray every day,

·          to participate in weekly Sunday Holy Eucharist,

·         to volunteer and assist with the liturgical ministries on Youth Ministry Sunday scheduled on the last Sunday of every month and,

·         to regularly share their talent and time in service to their Church and world.

We wish to assure you that we are always here as a resource and a source of support for you who are the first teachers of your children in the way of faith.

God bless you in this ministry in such a way that you will be the best of teachers of your children and God bless all of our efforts to provide our parish youth with proper Christian formation and a faith foundation that will last a lifetime!
