ADVENT and Christmas
The Season of Advent, is the beginning of the church year. The symbol of Advent is the advent wreath with its four candles to mark the four Sundays of Advent. We begin the season by first lighting one candle and then we move through the season of Advent by lighting more candles as a holy reminder to us that the Light of Christ is with us.
Advent is a time when we prepare ourselves for the coming of Christ. It is meant to be a time of reflection and a time set aside to renew our connection to Christ.
